Primary / KS3 Resources
Designed for older primary pupils and younger secondary learners, these resources introduce students to a range of influential Black figures from the French, Spanish and German-speaking world.
Through a variety of reading-based tasks, students develop comprehension skills while learning about the achievements, experiences and contributions of these inspiring individuals.
The activities reinforce familiar language and key topics, including:
- Nationalities and countries
- Physical descriptions
- Personality adjectives
- Basic personal information
Students are also encouraged to become confident language detectives, using cognates, context clues and prior knowledge to infer the meaning of unfamiliar words and phrases independently.
